Backcountry fishing for snook, redfish and trout is rated very good. Alot of big reds and snook starting to show up as the water temps start to warm the shallows and the bait migration begins inshore. March and April can be some of the best snook action of the year along with catch and release fishing in the summer months. It is also a great time to throw topwaters, such as a zara spook and devils horse.
Tarpon fishing is just around the corner, Traditionally kicking off in late April or early May and lasting throughout the summer. Live bait fishing near shore is most productive in May and June with artificials coming in to play as the silver kings start to migrate more up into the harbor.
